Another Wedding, Another Beautiful Couple!

Congratulations Jeremy and Stacy! It was our pleasure to attend our close friends' wedding last Saturday. Stacy was the most beautiful bride I've ever seen! The weather could not have been more perfect. It was fogged in two days before and the day after but the sun came out just in time for Jeremy and Stacy to say 'I do'. Good luck and have a great honeymoon.

Our wedding tour of '08 is sadly almost over. It's been such a joy to see our closest friends get married and begin the next chapter in their journeys together. I have another bridal shower next weekend for my friend from Bakersfield who I went to high school with. (lots of pics coming from that!) My mom is coming too! It will be a fun weekend back to my old stomping grounds in Bake-town. We'll literally be baking, it's in the 100's there right now.

Summertime...

Summer is here and the itch to get on the road and visit friends has arrived along with it! The fires are wreaking havoc with alot of the camping and hiking options around here so it looks like Trudy and I are going to head all the way up the Route 1 Coastal Highway into Oregon and Washington, camp up around Arcata and visit friends in Eugene, Oregon / Seattle and Lake Chelan , Washington. I Know we are both in need of some R+R and can't wait to get out on the road and experience some new places, spend time with good friends and soak in some of the emerald green up in The Northwest. I have never been to Seattle and my buddy Kyle is up there so I can't wait to check it out. Ray and Aaron are both living up in Eugene with their wives . Aaron has an adorable little boy Josiah who I can't wait to see again!!! An old co-worker Jane lives east of the Cascades in Washington out on Lake Chelan. She and her husband are originally from Philly and are huge Eagles fans so you know they are supercool and good people! I miss having her down here but looking forward to spending time with them at the lake. Hope all of you are enjoying your summer and had a great 4th of July. Trudy and i spent it with friends at a BBQ and got to see fireworks on the beach. Since then I have been trying not to get down on the Fightin Phils ( who have been killin me lately ). Looks like the bats are getting warmer tonight and they may be getting back on track. Koda the Wonder Dog has been well behaved and is one happy pup. Anyway... enough rambling from me. Take it easy and don't be afraid to leave a message or comment!!! John

4th of July Weekend

Trudy and I would like to congratulate our friends Shawn and Kris on their marriage. They had a great ceremony out in Carmel Valley at Holman Ranch, it was an awesome time and a wonderful day! For those of you who haven't been out here yet..Trudy and I are living in Pacific Grove and are essentially surrounded by water on 3 sides so the effects of the fire aren't as noticeable over here. We are sending lots of Good Juju out to those affected by the Big Sur fires and hope you will do the same, especially the homeowners and firefighters. Our new home, P.G. , is a quiet little coastal community, has no bars, fast food shops or chain stores and does not have a single parking meter! (Not yet anyway) The saying out here is that Fog Happens!!! and it does -but you get use to it pretty quickly. We have a 2 bedroom apartment ( you have a place to stay if you come visit !) with a nice view of the ocean and are 2 blocks from "downtown ". We have nice little parks that are dog friendly, close proximity to the ocean and are right around the corner from Pebble Beach and 17 Mile Drive. We would love to show all of you around the area if you come visit. There are tons of golf courses, nice beaches, great hiking and biking, a really cool aquarium in Monterey and good restaurants . We are close to the Redwoods and the Big Sur Coast and less than 2 hours from San Francisco. Tomorrow we are going to BB-Q with friends and then are going to walk down to the beach for fun and fireworks. It's become a tradition to do 4th of July with our "Monterey Family" and it's an ever expanding group of folks who 'seemingly would not mix ' . I'd like to wish everybody out there a Happy and Safe 4th! I'd like to send out a Special Hey Now!! to Kyle in Seattle and Drew in Phoenix. Kyle- sorry about your Mariners bro and looking forward to seeing you for jeremy's wedding. Drew- see you in Tahoe and don't forget to bring your body armor for Northstar!
Trudy and Koda wish all of you well . Take it Easy... John
