It's a great look into the life of an architectural phenomenon named Frank Gehry. What's even more amazing is his process for creating these masterpieces. It is directed by the late Sydney Pollack who follows Gehry around with a handheld video camera and documents a day in the life.
This is the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Gehry designed this in 1997. I think it's so interesting to look at and so different from anything I've ever seen.
You can imagine how excited I was to go to the Experimental Music Project when we were in Seattle since it is another Gehry creation. Here I am in front of the EMP.
It is just as fascinating on the inside as it is on the outside.
I've also been watching a new PBS show called Spain... on the Road. It features Mario Bartolli, Gwyneth Paltrow, a NY food critic and a spanish actress. They go in search of all things food related in Spain. There is nothing more interesting to me than traveling and food! I just recently read that they will be interviewing Gehry on the show. I'll be interested to see how this interview plays into the food theme of the show!!
In the meantime, John is pacing the floor watching his Phillies in the World Series!! I think maybe Koda eating John's Phillie's hat could have been good luck!!!
