I Love Elastic Waistbands!
I'm sure I won't be saying this six months from now when all I want to do is get this baby out and put on some real clothes. But for now, I'm embracing the loose and comfortable fit of my first pair of preggo jeans. The original "mom jean", if you will. I can't believe that my regular pants got so tight so fast. I'm sure the extra holiday pounds I put on and never worked off didn't help, or the fact that if I move too much I feel nauseous, but like the books say, everyone is different and thank god for Old Navy maternity.

Evening Morning Sickness
It doesn't matter if it's in the morning, afternoon, or night, morning sickness has to be one of the worst ways for mother nature to torture a woman's body. I have to say I've been lucky and things could be SO much worse, but I'm hurting here people. I'm 12 1/2 weeks, have been nauseous since week 6 and throwing up since week 10. What gives? I thought I was supposed to be feeling better by week 10. Just when I thought I had dodged a bullet, instead of ending, the worse was just beginning. My doctor gave me a prescription for Zofran which has saved my sanity. There are few things more frustrating than not being able to eat or drink for fear it will come back to haunt you! So I'm raising my glass of ginger ale to modern medicine for providing some relief while I wait it out. Maybe week 14 will be my lucky break?

There's No Place Like Gnome!

I don't know why but I think Gnomes are hilarious! Being that I lived in SF for 3 years, this is one of the funniest pictures I've ever seen! LOVE IT!

Two Pink lines...
chance to begin our family together. Hearing the heartbeat at 8 weeks was a powerful experience and seeing the growth of the last 4 weeks was pretty amazing too! We are just hoping that things continue to go smoothly and preparing the best we can to be parents for the first time. I would like to thank all of our friends and loved ones for being a part of our lives and ultimately making this possible for us.
More to come soon....
