8 Months!

Sorren is 8 months old today! We celebrated with a big boy "trainer bottle" and some playtime outside.

Pac-Mania!

I've been playing Pac-Man on google's homepage for the last two days! How cool is that? My highest score was 14950.

Our Little Sweet Pea......

could not have been cuter today at his doctor's appointment. John and I took Sorren up to Stanford for another follow up for his VSD. I packed a huge bag full of stuff I thought we might need since we were there for 3 hours last time. I was pleasantly surprised when we we were ushered in to a room for his echocardiogram after a brief visit with a nurse to get Sorren's vitals. He weighs 15 1/2 pounds, that's a pound and a half more than he was about a month and a half ago.

During the "echo" Sorren was laying shirtless on a big fluffy pillow with his arms above his head, watching a Baby Einstein video. He definitely made himself at home. We had a great technician who took about 20 minutes to get all the pictures she needed.

Dr. Murphy, Sorren's Cardiologist, met with us to let us know that the hole in Sorren's heart is really small. He said he can hardly hear a murmur and doesn't need to see him for 2 years!

Whew! We can cross that worry off our list!

Update

We are all doing great! Sorren is eating and sleeping really well. He has a visit with the Cardiologist next Tuesday. It should be his final follow up or at least for a few years.

It's officially summer on the peninsula. The fog has settled in and its really, really gray around here. Fingers crossed, the sun will come out SOON!

I was inspired to take a knitting class after Sorren's head got too big for his favorite brown beanie. I made the green one below. Sorren seems to dig it!

Sorren is 7 months...

It's hard to believe its been 7+ months already since Sorren was born. He is doing really well... he is starting to laugh alot and screech for joy - Trudy calls him "The Seagull" . He is getting big in a hurry and is much more interested in checking out new things and tryin to get in motion all the time. He is starting to eat rice ceral, avocado and yams and seems to be getting the hang of that too. We are enjoying every moment with him and starting to get used to this parenting thing. We cant wait for everybody to see him again and for others to finally meet him! He already appears to have an eye for the ladies and appears to be sweet on a certain 9 month old little girl! He is too precious... sometimes i want to climb into his crib and snuggle with him. I am going to attach some recent pics and will write some more soon.
