I was able to get out and take some pictures around town last night. Santa Fe is really beautiful once you've been able to spend some time here and get to know it. Here are pics of the downtown cathedral, typical New Mexican rain clouds, a shot overlooking Santa Fe, giraffe metal sculptures, and a random statue that makes its home on the corner of the main intersection by our house.

A Day Out With Thomas!
We spent the day with the real Thomas! There's an old timey train station about 100 miles north of here in Chama that hosted a Day Out With Thomas! Sorren was more than thrilled!

Hola from Santa Fe, NM!
Yes, we moved to Santa Fe and we've been here about a month. I was laid off from my job after 5 years at National Geographic School Publishing and John recieved an offer within his company at another facility... in Santa Fe. We had nothing to lose so we said, OK!
Santa Fe is such an interesting and really different place, I can't list all of the things we've experienced so far in one post. However, we're settling in nicely and I took this picture today as I was driving around. This is a snippet of what the area looks like around us. Lots of mountains and much greener than I would have thought for a desert. Santa Fe is nestled at the bottom of the Sangre de Christo Mountains, which is the southern part of the Rocky Mountains.
